Woman Seriously Injured After Robbery in Ramos Mejía

A 46-year-old woman is in serious condition after being dragged more than 100 meters by her car during a robbery in the Buenos Aires town of Ramos Mejía. The incident took place outside Don Bosco school when María Laura Mollard went to pick up a friend's son. When she parked the car and got out to collect the boy, she realized that a thief had gotten into the vehicle, which was still running.

Mollard held on to the car to prevent the theft and was dragged several meters while her 13-year-old nephew witnessed the scene and ran behind the car. After the incident, the woman was taken to Balestrini Hospital, which refused to treat her due to an influx of patients, so she was redirected to Paroissien Hospital, where she underwent surgery.

Currently, the woman is in an induced coma, with a brain hemorrhage, fractures, and mechanical ventilatory support. The incident was recorded by local security cameras, and although the video shows only one thief, it is suspected that more people were involved in the robbery.

Prosecutor Alejandra Núñez is in charge of the investigation and is analyzing all the obtained images to identify those responsible.
